What is a Double Elimination Bracket?

• A double-elimination bracket is a type of elimination bracket competition in which a participant must lose two matches  to be eliminated from a bracket. It stands in contrast to a single-elimination tournament, in which only one defeat results in elimination. 

Why does FXG use Double Elimination Brackets?

• Double Elimination brackets guarantees each competitor at least 2 matches per division. 

What happens when I lose a match?

• When you lose your first match in a bracket (outside of the finals), you continue to compete for 3rd place. only after you lose your 2nd match will you be eliminated from the bracket.
